It is that time of year again!! I have registered and started a team to join the fight against the brain tumors. The National Brain Tumor Foundation will be holding the National Brain Tumor Angel Walk on November 5th at Trinity Park in Fort Worth. This is a 3.1 mile inspirational fundraising walk and the proceeds go towards supporting brain tumor research.

I know that it is going to be so very emotional at the walk this year. This is my 3rd year to walk, but first year to walk without Brian. Raising awareness has taken on a new understanding for me. Before, I walked to find a cure for Brian. Now I will walk so that no one else has to go through what I have had to over the past 10 months. The Brain tumor community is growing everyday and it is more important than ever to find a cure! Just this week, I learned of a girl that is 27 and was diagnosed just 2 weeks ago and her wedding was scheduled for this coming weekend. As you can imagine this hit very close to home. The difference is this.... She had to cancel her wedding because things were progressing so very quickly. As I prayed for healing for this sweet girl I was brought to tears by how lucky I was to have an absolutely beautiful and perfect wedding with the most handsome groom! Please help me in finding a cure so that sweet girl can have her dream wedding, and no one else will have to be a widow at 28!
